Mir is a Russian National Payment System established in 2015. First Mir Cards were issued in December 2015. In November 2018, the number of issued cards amounted to about 50 million. Currently, upwards of 320 banks have become Mir Participants. Mir Cards are accepted all across Russia, as well as within infrastructures of Mir Partners abroad (i.e. Ingenico).
Mir Cards are issued using an in-house EMV-compliant payment application. Mir Cardholders can perform all kinds of transactions using ATMs, POS terminals, and E-commerce Merchants via the Internet or mobile application. Cards can be issued on physical medium, without physical medium (to be used exclusively in the m-commerce and e-commerce), or as virtual cards (to be used exclusively in the e-commerce environment).

Debit Card
Cards with a minimal set of functions and services.
Prepaid Card
Instant issue cards, available without identification. Transactions can only be performed Online, transaction amounts can be restricted depending on the level of identification. Cash disbursement transactions are prohibited.
Classic Card
Basic card product type. All payment functions and a basic set of services are available.
Privilege / Privilege Plus / Premium / Advanced Cards
Fully-featured cards with an extended set of services and benefits.
